New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS) Delhi Police Wednesday sent a letter to fasting Team Anna members, saying they should heed the advice given by doctors and agree to be hospitalized if necessary, an official said.

Team Anna leaders, including Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal, are on an indefinite hunger strike to demand a stringent anti-corruption Jan Lokpal Bill.

Police had to send the letter given the deteriorating condition of the fasting Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai, who have been on a hunger strike since July 25, an official said.

Hazare went on fast since Sunday as have about 400 other anti-corruption activists.

"Team Anna should follow the advice given by the medical team concerned about their health," Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat told IANS.

He added that Team Anna had given a commitment to Delhi Police before starting their fast that they would follow the doctor's medical advice and go to hospital if necessary.
