Three Hindu traders kidnapped from Pakistan's Kalat district

Islamabad, July 29 (ANI): Three young Hindu traders have been kidnapped from the Jiwa intersection area of in Pakistan's Kalat District.

According to sources, the traders were on their way from Khuzdar to Kalat in a passenger wagon when some unidentified armed men intercepted their van at Jiwa Intersection area of Tehsil Surab, reports the Daily Times.

The traders were taken to an undisclosed place. The abduction is suspected to have been a case of kidnapping for ransom.

The traders have been identified as Denesh Kumar, Santosh Kumar and Rathan Kumar.

The Hindu community in Kalat expressed shock and anger over the kidnapping. A complete shutter-down strike was observed against the kidnapping, which brought life in town to a standstill.

The Hindu community also blocked the national highway and protested against the kidnapping. They also chanted slogans against inefficiency of the government to provide security to its citizens. (ANI)
