Olympics: Indian paddler Soumyajit wins first round

London, July 28 (IANS) Indian paddler Soumyajit Ghosh started his Olympic campaign with a win in the first round of men's singles table tennis event of the 2012 London Games at the Excel North Arena here Saturday.

The 19-year-old Soumyajit won 11-9, 14-12, 7-11, 12-10, 5-12 and 12-10 against the 27-year-old Brazilian in the match that lasted 40 minutes.
