India urged to act on Sri Lanka naval base

Chennai, July 26 (IANS) DMK chief M. Karunanidhi Thursday urged the central government to take necessary action if it was true that Sri Lanka has set up a naval base near its maritime border with India.
"The centre should look into this and take appropriate action if it is true," he said, referring to news reports that the neighbouring country was setting up a naval base in its territory but very near to the maritime border with India.
