London, July 25 (ANI): A jilted husband, who stormed around his family home sawing the furniture in half to spite his wife, was presented before a judge this week after the 5,000-pound rampage.

Kevin Fiore, 56, scrawled "Kev's Half" across the items, starting with a dressing table and sofa.

Next he went to work on the bathroom, smashing the fittings and daubing words across the tiles and bath.

Then he damaged a wardrobe and two sets of drawers and ripped down the loft ladder.

Finally, he wrote offensive messages across the walls.

Prosecuting, Fiona Cortese told Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court that Fiore then sent a text message to his estranged wife Katrina saying: "There's nothing left, it's all trashed."

The bankrupt builder was given a two-year supervision order after pleading guilty to causing criminal damage this week.

"He deserved to be jailed for what he did to me and my family," the Daily Express quoted his ex as saying.

The 39-year-old, who was married to Fiore for four years before walking out and has an 11-year-old son with him, said: "I told him I wanted a divorce but he refused to accept it."

After his rampage at the marital home in Werrington, Staffs, she recalled: "He texted me telling me he'd trashed the house.

"I went round with our son and cried when I saw what he'd done. We had a lovely expensive cream leather sofa which he'd sawn in half and scrawled 'Kev's Half' in black marker on the cushions," she added. (ANI)
