Jubilant FoodWorks quarterly profit rises 40 percent

New Delhi, July 25 (IANS) Jubilant FoodWorks (JFL), which operates pizza vendor Domino's, Wednesday posted a 40 percent rise in net profit at Rs.32.35 crore for the quarter ended June 30 against Rs.23.17 crore during the like period of the previous financial year.
The total income stood at Rs.316.4 crore during the quarter under review, up 45 percent against Rs.218 crore during the year ago period, the company said in a statement.
"We believe our dynamic business model not only enable us to expand into new geographies and making our brand accessible to new customer, but also enables us to cater to customer preference across a wide range," said Ajay Kaul, chief executive officer, Jubilant Foodworks.
"We are on track with expansion plans and are also dedicating our efforts towards menu development and innovation, marketing and customer service initiatives. We will continues to leverage the power of our brands to achieve our goals and remain focused on creating sustainable growth over the long term," he added.
Jubilant opened 24 new stores during the quarter taking the total number of Domino's stores to 489.
It also entered into an alliance with Dunkin' Donuts early last year to develop and operate the brand's restaurant in India. It opened three restaurants in the quarter in New Delhi.
