Over 40 killed in Tajikistan fighting

Dushanbe, July 24 (IANS) Twelve soldiers and 30 militants were killed in a clash Tuesday in Tajikistan, Xinhua reported.

The fighting erupted in Khorog, the capital of Gorno-Badakhshan region, after the security forces launched a massive search to capture warlord Tolib Ayombekov, a prime suspect in the killing of a senior army officer.
