New York, July 23 (ANI): Two pairs of gloves together used by Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston in their legendary 1964 bout in Miami have gone under the hammer.
Earlier this year UFC Ceo and co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta had auctioned Ali's gloves from a famous 1965 fight for a whopping 1.1 million pounds.
Celebrity photographer Michael Simon and producer Seth Ersoff are auctioning off the two pairs of gloves together for 2 million pounds, New York Post reported.
In 1964, Ali was still fighting as Cassius Clay, and he infamously upset Liston to become the youngest-ever heavyweight champion, at 22.
Liston lost when he refused to fight past the sixth round.
Fertitta's gloves were used in Ali's fight against Floyd Patterson a year later. (ANI)
