London, July 19 (ANI): Olympic gold medallist Linford Christie has made a new exercise video showing store staff how to stay in shape on the shop floor.

The workout routine by the 52-year-old features the former 100m sprinter helping workers at Currys and PC World.

And the staff in day-glo headbands and legwarmers follow the star athlete's lead as he shows them how to do bicep curls using bundles of printer paper.

Store bosses hope the four-minute movie will help their 20,000 staff stay in shape throughout this summer's Olympic Games.

"I didn't realise how long store staff have to stand on the shop floor for each day and how much they have to lift, carry and do," the Sun quoted Linford as saying.

"It's all added stress to the body and a handful of simple stretches at the start of each shift, supplemented with regular exercise, can make all the difference.

"When I was originally approached for this I went into it all guns blazing. I was ready to push the staff to the limits but they were fitter than I thought," he added. (ANI)
