New Delhi, July 16 (IANS) Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh Monday said he was willing to contest the next Lok Sabha elections, preferably from Madhya Pradesh, as his vow to stay away from electoral politics will come to an end in November next year.

Answering queries from reporters here, he said he would like to contest from his home state if his party so desires.

Digvijay Singh had claimed full responsibility of party's defeat in 2003 by Bharatiya Janata Party and declared that he would honour his commitment to stay away from electoral politics for ten years if Congress lost the polls.

He had indicated earlier that he was not keen to contest assembly polls in the state.

Congress is in opposition in Madhya Pradesh since 2003.
