Salman Bashir presents credentials to President Patil

New Delhi, July 13 (ANI): Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Salman Bashir presented his credentials to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil at a ceremony held in Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Friday.

The ceremony was attended by the officers of Ministry of External Affairs, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Pakistan High Commission.

Bashir joined Foreign Service of Pakistan in February 1976.

During his distinguished diplomatic career, he served as the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan (from May 2008 to March 2012), the Ambassador of Pakistan to China and Mongolia (from 2005 to April, 2008), the Additional Foreign Secretary (2003-2005) and the Ambassador of Pakistan to Denmark and Lithuania (July 1999 to February 2003).(ANI)
