London, July 11 (ANI): Jackie Chan has donated 125,000 pounds to officials in Thailand on Sunday to help boost the country's flood relief fund.

The Hong Kong action star, who is also the Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, toured orphanages which were affected by severe storms in late 2011 and early 2012.

The actor also looked around damaged centres for the elderly and offered supplies on behalf of the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation to continue the clean-up effort, the Daily Express reported.

Chan, who shared photos of the trip on his website, told local reporters of his own days in poverty.

"I grew up poor and struggled, and now I have enough money to share with the needy," he said. (ANI)
