Poll panel to review Himachal's poll preparedness

Shimla, July 9 (IANS) Members of the Election Commission of India will visit Shimla this week to review Himachal Pradesh's preparedness for the assembly polls, an official said here Monday.

The poll panel's members will visit July 11-12 to review work related to the elections, state's chief electoral officer Narinder Chauhan told reporters.

He said the commission would meet with representatives of political parties and government functionaries during the visit.

Himachal Pradesh is likely to go to the polls in October to elect a 68-member assembly.
