Jaganmohan Reddy to decide YSR Congress' stand in presidential polls

Hyderabad, July 6 (ANI): The YSR Congress (YSRC) Party on Friday authorised jailed party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to decide party's stand for the July 19 presidential polls.

The Political Affairs Committee member of the party, Konathala Ramakrishna, told reporters here that both the presidential candidates have approached the YSRC.

"Both the Presidential candidates have approached us and we have unanimously adopted a resolution authorizing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to take adecision in this regard," Ramakrishna said, after the extended State Council meeting.

The meeting, chaired by honourary president YS Vijaymma, adopted ten resolutions including highlighting the failure of state government in addressing the problems of farmers, growing attacks on dalits and diluting welfare schemes introduced by YSR. (ANI)
