New Delhi, July 5 (ANI): Acting on intelligence, an air customs officer arrested a passenger identified as Umesh Kumar at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday on a charge of carrying an excessive amount of mother boards, lenses and lens covers for CCTV cameras for commercial use.
Customs officers said Kumar was a resident of Bhiwani in Haryana and a holder of Indian passport no. Z2300189. They said he had arrived in Delhi from Hong Kong via Colombo on Flight UL-0195.
They said the total value of the goods amounted to Rs.11.96 lakh, and the goods were seized under Section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962.
Kumar was arrested under Section 104 of the same act, said Arun Kumar, Additional Commissioner (Customs) in a statement. (ANI)
