Coimbatore, July 3 (ANI): In the backdrop of the ongoing turmoil over a demand for a change of leadership in Karnataka, Corporate Affairs Minister M Veerapa Moily has compared the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led state government to daily wagers owing to the instability in its leadership
"Now, the government of BJP has become the daily wage earner, from day to day basis it has now become hour to hour, for them to survive, to continue with power, its crumbling totally," Moily told media here.
On Monday, the loyalists of former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa decided to step down following their demand of replacing Sadananda Gowda with Jagdish Shettar as chief minister. Soon thereafter they withdrew their resignation after the party high command assured them of resolving the crisis in the party.
"Those ministers, who have resigned from Sadananda Gowda's Cabinet have withdrawn their resignation. We are heading for a political solution in Karnataka. High Command is aware about all aspects of Karnataka. Appropriate action will be taken at appropriate time," BJP's Karnataka in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan said.
The crisis in the Karnataka BJP intensified on Friday with nine ministers resigned from the State Cabinet thereby projecting a show of strength in their campaign for ousting Chief Minister Gowda.
The ministers, who quit earlier were Jagadish Shettar (Rural Development), CM Udasi (PWD), Murugesh Nirani (Industries), V Somanna (Housing), Umesh Katti (Agriculture), Basavaraj Bommai (Water Resources), Revu Naik Belamagi (Libraries and Animal Husbandry), M P Renukacharya (Excise) and Raju Gowda (Small Scale Industries).
