Fire engulfs tyre warehouse in Gurgaon

Gurgaon, June 30 (ANI): Fire engulfed a tyre warehouse here on Saturday destroying property and goods worth millions of rupees.

No casualty was, however, reported into the incident.

Around 15 fire tenders were rushed to the sport to douse the raging fire.

Fire Officer Deepak Sharma, who oversaw the operations, said that they were able to successfully control the fire from spreading to the nearby petrol pump and a house.

"This is a warehouse were the fire broke out and there is a petrol pump next to it and a house which we saved from catching the fire. There was one more warehouse, which caught fire, but we controlled it," said Sharma.

"We have not been able to know it so far," he added, when asked to comment on the exact cause of the fire.

Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of fire. (ANI)
