Chinese police bust drug ring

Beijing, June 28 (IANS) Chinese police have busted a drug trafficking ring and seized over 18 kg of heroin, authorities said Thursday.
Six members of the gang were arrested in Guangxi Zhuang region June 20. Methamphetamine, a party drug, gold bars, cars and nearly 6 million yuan (about $900,000) in cash were also seized, Xinhua reported.
People who smuggle, sell, transport or manufacture heroin more than 50 grams faces life imprisonment or death in China.
