Ashley Cole shows 'emotional tough' side with Chinese tattoos

London, June 22 (ANI): When it comes to tattoos, English footie stars are top of the group.

Footballers such as Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott have decorated their bodies with designs reflecting their fighting spirit.

Ashley Cole has three Chinese symbols along his right arm that say "Good Luck", "To Win" and "Good Virtue".

Chinese wording was fashionable in the late 1990s and Cole was 20 when he got the tattoos.

He's since had a larger swirl design down the right side of his torso.

"Ashley's tatts suggest a guy who likes to play his cards close to his chest. Although these are very simple messages, they're written in a way to reveal nothing to the public, meaning his deeper loyalties and emotions will always be well hidden and that his focus is on the game," the Daily Star quoted body language expert Judi James as saying.

"The simplicity of his objectives will mean whatever happens outside his on-pitch life, it will have no effect on his game.

"He's an emotional tough guy who takes his game seriously and is focused on winning," she added. (ANI)
