DMK to discuss government crackdown

Chennai, June 18 (IANS) With many of its senior leaders and former ministers facing police cases and being arrested, Tamil Nadu's DMK has called meeting of its executive committee Friday to discuss the ways to condemn the government action.

In a statement issued here Monday, the DMK, terming the police cases as false, said the party has convened a meeting of its executive committee at its headquarters here to chalk out the programme of action to protest against the police action against its leaders.

The meeting will be chaired by party president M.Karunanidhi.
