Chennai, June 16 (IANS) Hossein Vafei Ayouri from Iran, the current IBSF World champion and Asian Under-21 title holder, will be the star attraction along with Indian champion Aditya Mehta in the Kences Constructions - Andhra Social and Cultural Association International snooker tournament commencing here Sunday.
Other invited players include Ehsan Heydari (Iran), Noppon Saengkham (Thailand), R. Yotharuck (Thailand), Andy Lee (Hong Kong), Steven Chau (Hong Kong) and Susantha Boteju (Sri Lanka) besides India No.2 Kamal Chawla.
Former World billiards champion Geet Sethi will inaugurate the tournament that will begin with a preliminary league (8 groups of 4 players) followed by the knock-out stage that will have the top two players from each group. The tournament concludes June 23.
