China launches hospital reform

Beijing, June 15 (IANS) China has launched an initiative to improve its public healthcare services, the government said Friday.

The programme will cover 300 county-level hospitals and carry out reforms in finance, management and human resources, Xinhua reported.

Health Minister Chen Zhu said the county-level reform will generate experiences for future reforms of major public hospitals in cities.
