IED recovered in Assam

Guwahati, June 14 (IANS) A team of police and army personnel recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) in Assam's Sivsagar district Thursday.
Police said the IED was hidden underground in Sonari area by suspected members of United Liberation Front of Asom's (ULFA) anti-talk faction.
The IED was defused by an army bomb squad.
A search operation for the militants has been launched.
