Los Angeles, June 12 (IANS) Singer David Nail fractured his hand during a charity softball game in Tennessee, and is now taking rest.
The incident took place in Nashville Saturday, when Nail was taking part in the 22nd annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge, which raises funds for the cancer care centre.
However, he was forced to take a trip to the emergency room after sustaining a minor fracture during play, reports contactmusic.com.
"You put me in the game, and I only know one speed -- hard. I only play all-out, and that's what I was doing. I can't believe I broke something doing it," the 33-year-old said.
He said he is not worried about the injury.
"I've got a really good neurosurgeon who will look at this next week, so I know I'll be okay long term. Right now, I just know I played hard, got to see a lot of the people from around the country who've been there with us over the past few years, and, hopefully, made a few new believers along the way," Nail added.
