Boxing champ Amir Khan slammed for 'pole dance' cash pic

London, June 11 (ANI): Amir Khan has reportedly shocked his fans on Twitter as well as his fiance after posting a snap of himself flashing the cash at a Las Vegas pole dancer.

The photograph showed Khan, who is a former world champ and a devout Muslim, waving thousands of dollars as a scantily clad girl strutted behind him, the Daily Star reported.

"Let's play lol," the message accompanying the pic read.

The image left his bride-to-be Faryal Makhdoom appalled and also stunned the strait-laced star's million Twitter followers, many of whom are Muslims.

However, Makhdoom appeared determined to sweep her fiance's behaviour under the carpet.

"Oh well! I'll still smile through my day. Hehe," she tweeted.

But, Khan's fans were not so forgiving and took onto 'Twitter' to show their disapproval.

"Ew. Woke up to something very disgusting and disturbing," Faryal, 20, tweeted.

Later, Makhdoom posted a couple of tweets to defend her man from the bashing.

"Everyone needs to take a chill pill. I am aware of everything my man does. Thanks for the concern. However, there's a big difference between a strip club and a normal club. I think most clubs in Vegas do have pole dancers. Even I knew that lol.

"Also, a relationship is all about trust, not stupid stuff like this lol," she tweeted.

However, another Twitter user @Van3ssa_20 fired a remark, which apparently lead to heated debate between the two.

"Tut tut. What's the world coming to. Letting ur fiance dance with other girls and shoving money down their knickers haha," she posted.

The post, apparently left 20-year-old fiance furious, who hit back at the user.

"Aw, were u there to witness it all? Lol damn, I should hire u to investigate my man. Seems u have a lot of time on ur hands. Look within before judging others," she posted.

However, Khan, deleted the picture and message after fans accused him of being disrespectful to his fiance and a bad role model for fellow Muslims.

"Sort urself out Amir, when mrs sees this u be knocked out first round," Shaziamirza01 tweeted.

"Bro, aren't you engaged ya silly guy. You're supposed to be a role model," messaged another user, Bilal Chaudhry.

The whole furore culminated into Khan blocking many of his followers.

"Just blocked over 100 people on Twitter for talking rubbish," Khan later added. (ANI)
