London, June 10 (IANS) Britain will see a rainy weather through June as incessant rains continue to plague several areas in the country.
The Met Office issued a grim forecast that there would be no return to sustained country-wide sunny weather until the end of the month.
Flood warnings remained in place Sunday for Rheidol and Teifi rivers near Lampeter. Forecasters warned that Britain will see little respite from the wet weather.
Rescue efforts were underway in Aberystwyth and surrounding areas after rains Saturday flooded several villages and parks. Some 150 people were rescued, Daily Mail reported.
Andy Francis, of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, told the BBC that danger remains from bio-hazards, sewage and other contaminants which had entered the waters.
The freak floods Saturday cut off villages and roads in Ceredigion, Mid-Wales, swamping holiday parks and residential streets and leaving some people trapped in houses.
