'Super fit' Brit Beach Volleyball babes share health tips

London, June 6 (ANI): Denise Johns and Lucy Boulton, who are two members of Great Britain's Women's Beach Volleyball Team, are sharing their body beautiful secrets, as well as flaunting their own super trim shapes.

The players have teamed up with Clinique, a cosmetic company, for a special feature in Marie Claire magazine and in the accompanying photoshoot Johns and Boulton demonstrate their athletic ability.

In one image, which was styled by Lisa Oxenham, the duo are seen leaping high into the air appearing ready to smash a ball to the ground.

Johns is dressed in a tight gold swimsuit with cut out panels around her midriff while Boulton puts her impressive glutes on display in a pair of tiny hot pants.

In another black and white shot the sportswomen are seen bending over with their hands behind their backs hiding their next moves from the opposition, just the way they would in a game.

Johns warns readers of the dangers of eating too many carbohydrate-heavy foods particularly later on in the day.

"Last year, our trainer, Kate Eddy made us keep a food diary for three months and I realised I was eating too many calories, even with training five hours a day. Now I've pushed all my carbs, towards morning - porridge for breakfast, English muffin mid-morning - and I'm opting for more protein, fruit and vegetables later in the day," the Daily Mail quoted Johns as telling the publication.

"After you work out, your muscles are breaking down, so you need protein immediately to build them back up. I have a protein shot or Hypnos, a powder that turns into a mousse like Angel Delight, so it feels like pudding. A few nuts, chicken breast, tuna or other lean meat would do the trick, too," she said. (ANI)
