Militant nabbed in Meghalaya

Guwahati, June 5 (IANS) A militant of the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) was arrested in Meghalaya and arms and ammunition seized from him.
In a joint operation by Border Security Force (BSF) troopers and Meghalaya Police, Konan Sangma was arrested from Purakhasia market in the West Garo Hills district.
One US-made 7.65 mm pistol, two magazines and nine rounds of live ammunition were recovered from his possession, police said.
