UTV's mixed Bollywood platter ready to roll out

New Delhi, June 5 (IANS) A sensitive love story, a 3D extra-terrestrial dramedy and a behind-the-scenes saga of a Bollywood heroine -- UTV Motion Pictures is set to release a mixed bag of films - "Barfi!", "Joker" and "Heroine" - in the coming months.

"Barfi!", starring Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor will hit screens Aug 31. It narrates a romantic tale of a deaf and mute boy, essayed by the Kapoor scion, while Priyanka plays an autistic girl.

Shirish Kunder's "Joker" brings an extra-terrestrial character to the big screen with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the drama-comedy releasing Sep 14. It will take viewers on a joyride with Agastya (Akshay), a researcher probing the existence of aliens, who returns to his small little native village, which doesn't exist on the global map.

The week after the release of "Joker" will see Madhur Bhandarkar's mega project "Heroine" hit the screens.

With Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, the movie talks about the life and times of a superstar Bollywood heroine. It promises to tell the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour.
