Washington, Sun, 03 Jun 2012 ANI

Washington, June 3 (ANI): President Obama wrote an absence note for a 5-grader, named Tyler Sullivan, after the student skipped class for a presidential appearance in Minnesota on Friday.

According to BuzzFeed, Tyler missed his class to see his dad introduce the president at the event, the Politico reported.

"Please excuse Tyler ... He was with me," Obama wrote, according to a letter posted online.

Obama hosted six separate fundraisers in Minnesota and Chicago on Friday. But before he counted his new-found cash, the President made an official presidential visit to a Honeywell factory in a Minneapolis suburb.

There, he was introduced by Ryan Sullivan, Tyler' father and a new employee at the factory.

Later Obama wrote the student what just may be the best absence note ever collected by a 5th grader. (ANI)
