Sometimes you have to be a diva, says Jessie J

London, May 30 (ANI): Jessie J has insisted that "sometimes you have to be a diva", following claims that she is tough to work with.

The Voice star, 24, admitted that she had once lost her temper with US record company bosses.

"The idea was Do It Like A Dude would debut in America but I knew I had to come out in Britain first," the Mirror quoted her as telling Grazia magazine.

"So I shouted to make them change their minds.

"Artists I admire - from Madonna to Whitney - have been called divas.

"If you're strong, you do what you believe in. If you're called a diva, so what?" she added.

The singer has been criticised for being demanding on set, but has insisted that people had the wrong impression of her and there was "no champagne" backstage on her tour.

She also revealed she will change her image before her second album as she fears that she looks like a transvestite. (ANI)
