Critics praise Samsung Galaxy S3 calling it 'light years ahead of iPhone'

London, May 29 (ANI): Critics have praised the Samsung Galaxy S3 as the best phone on the market, with some calling the new smartphone 'light years ahead' of rival Apple's iPhone.

TechRadar in its review said that 'if you're picking up an iPhone 4S: forget it'.

According to The Daily Mail, Trusted Reviews concluded 'the S3 is light years ahead of Apple's profitable darling.'

"We like the look of the Galaxy S3 from the front, with its simple design, curved corners and metal trim. However, the glossy plastic back really puts a damper on things - it just doesn't exude class or luxury," it said.

"In terms of the user experience, the fluidity of operation, the feature set, and in virtually every area that counts, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is light years ahead of Apple's profitable darling," it added.

According to the paper, Stuff Magazine also praised the new mobile handset, saying the S3 has succeeded in 'toppling Apple's ageing starlet'.

"The most hyped phone since the iPhone 4S has lived up to the hoopla, toppling not only Apple's ageing starlet but all of its Android rivals," Stuff Magazine said.

"The Galaxy S3 offers the slickest Android Ice Cream Sandwich experience we've seen thanks to a 1.4Ghz quad-core Exynos processor, which eats 1080p movies for breakfast and can even play them in a pop-up window while you browse the web," it said.

"Extras like the microSD slot and larger battery give it the edge over HTC's One X, and the 4.8in Super AMOLED screen is sharp and vibrant. We can't wait to see how the iPhone responds," it added. (ANI)
