Kabul, May 28 (IANS) About 100 militants have given up fighting and joined a government-led peace process in Afghanistan, an official said.
They handed over their weapons to the authorities Monday in Ghor province, about 360 km from Kabul, Xinhua reported.
This development will further improve the security situation in the region, said provincial government spokesman Abdul Hai Khatibi.
