F1 presenter under fire for 'joking' about Princess Grace's car crash death

London, May 28 (ANI): Formula 1 presenter Simon Lazenby sparked outrage on Sunday night after he cracked an offensive joke on live TV about Princess Grace's death in a car accident.
The Sky man, Lazenby, who was at the Monaco Grand Prix, was severely criticized on the microblogging site.
"Some twisty and dangerous roads above us here in Monaco, Princess Grace knows all about them," the Sun quoted him as saying.he Princess died in 1982 when she lost control at the wheel after suffering a stroke and her car swerved off to a mountainside at a hairpin bend.
However, Lazenby later apologized on air but was slamed on Twitter by viewers.
"A disgusting comment," tweeted Callum Rowe.
"Disgraceful. Not even slightly funny," wrote Carole Benson.
However, a spokesman for Sky later apologized for the comment.
"We are very sorry for the offence caused by the remark," said the spokesperson. (ANI)
