New Delhi, May 27 (ANI): Senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader, D. Raja has criticized Army Chief General V. K. Singh, accusing him of intentionally pointing fingers at his junior officers and creating unnecessary furore over his age row.
Interacting with reporters here on Sunday, Raja said it is "unfortunate" to see the Indian Army being embroiled in controversies, which in turn are maligning its image.
" It is very unfortunate and very much distressing to see an Army Chief coming out with such revelations and the timing is also quite suspicious; why at the time of his retirement he is making all sorts of revelations and allegations," Raja said.
Raja added that such allegations put the Army in negative light.
"In a few days time he (General V K Singh) will be retiring but he leaves really a tarnished image of Indian Army establishment," he said. (ANI)
