New Delhi, May 18 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA-II) Government has been marked by failures, corruption and economic crisis.
"The three years of the UPA Government has been marked by failures, corruptions and economic crisis. I think that the government will pay attention to economic crisis in the country and would desist from publishing large scale advertisements in the light of the economic downturn," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain told media here.
He also alleged that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has completely failed to give progressive direction to the country in terms of social and economic development.
"The Manmohan Singh government has completely failed to give direction to the country. No remedial measure works on the government," he said.
Asserting that the Lokpal Bill should be passed in this (Parliament) session only, Hussain said: "The ministers had met the Leader of Opposition Arun Jaitley. He had given them some suggestions. The government should incorporate those suggestions and shouldn't delay the Lokpal Bill." The people of this country are waiting for the Lokpal. The government shouldn't think that it has been bailed out just because nobody is agitating or on the street," he added. (ANI)
