Chennai, May 14 (IANS) Kabil Badami of Maharashtra chalked up three wins in Group A league in the SVS All-India invitational junior snooker tournament here Monday to virtually book his berth in the next phase.
Badami overcame local challenger K. Rakesh 3-0 and then scalped two Bangaloreans, G. Girish (3-2) and National girls' champion Varsha Sanjeev (3-0) in Group A.
Meanwhile, in Group B, Karnataka's Nikhil Pise and Tamil Nadu's E. Sundar Raj recorded two wins apiece as did Ishpreet Singh of Maharashtra and Malkeet Singh of UP in Group C and D, respectively.

Group C - Ishpreet Singh (MAH) bt B. Jagadesh (TN) 3-2; Ishpreet singh bt Rahul Sachdev (MAH) 3-1; Nitesh Madaan (DEL) bt B. Jagadesh 3-0; Rahul Sachdev bt Nitesh Madaan 3-0.
Group D - Malkeet Singh(UP) bt Ashutosh Padhey (ODI) 3-0; Malkeet Singh bt R. Subhash(TN) 3-0; Peter paul (TN) bt Ashutosh Padhey 3-2.
