Two Kashmir wrestlers to compete in Pakistan

Jammu, May 14 (IANS) Top wrestlers from Jammu and Kashmir will be part of the Indian team that will take part in the Pakistan Style Wrestling Association championship early July.

 

Shiv Kumar Sharma, president of the Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling Association, said Tariq Mir, who heads the Pakistan body, had extended a special invitation to the Kashmiri wrestlers.

 

 

Jammu and Kashmir has been inviting Pakistani teams for wrestling at Katra, the base camp of the Vaishno Devi shrine, during Navratra for seven years in a row.

 

 

A total of five wrestlers from India will take part in the Pakistan meet, of which two will be from Jammu and Kashmir.
