1 killed, 10 wounded in renewed fighting in northern Lebanon

Beirut, May 14 (Xinhua-ANI): Renewed fighting took place between rival neighborhoods of Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen in Lebanon 's northern coastal city of Tripoli on Monday, leaving one person dead and 10 others wounded, MTV reported.

The TV channel said that Haidar Yousef al-Rashed was killed in the clashes.

On Sunday, three people, including a member of Lebanese Army, were killed in similar fighting as the crisis in Syria threatened to spillover into some parts of Lebanon.

Monday's clashes saw the use of machine gunfire, rocket propelled grenades and sniper fire. Ten people were also wounded in the fighting. (Xinhua-ANI)
