London, May 14 (ANI): Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed a keen desire to sign up three Borussia Dortmund players after the club won 5-2 over Bayern Munich to claim the German Cup.
The United manager wants not only to bring midfielder Shinji Kagawa on board but is also lining up moves for Poland striker Robert Lewandowski and Germany defender Mats Hummels.
"The offer from Dortmund is not enough and I can confirm there is interest from Manchester United," The Daily mail quoted Lewandowski's agent Maik Barthel, as saying.
According to reports, it has also been learnt that Hummels's father Hermann, who acts as his agent, has been invited to Manchester for talks.
Manchester United would have to shell out close to 50 million pounds for all three, but Dortmund's Managing Director Hans-Joachim Watzke defied the claims by saying, "We expect Kagawa to go, but no amount of money will persuade us to sell the others." (ANI)
