Sunny morning for Delhi, light rain likely

New Delhi, May 10 (IANS) A bright, sunny morning greeted Delhi Thursday with the weather office forecasting the possibility of light rain in some parts of the city towards the evening. The minimum temperature settled at 27.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above average.

"Skies will become partly cloudy towards the evening. Light showers and thunder are expected towards evening," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.

"The maximum temperature will hover around 42 degrees Celsius," added the official.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 31 percent.

Wednesday's maximum temperature stood at 40.8 degrees, two notches above average. The minimum temperature was three notches above average at 28.4 degrees.
