London, May 10(ANI): Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie has given the most lucid signal yet that he is keen to stay at the London-based club, as he has rejected a move to Italian champions Juventus.

Juventus became the first major European club to publicly state their intention to sign the Holland striker.

According to the Daily Mail, Van Persie is not interested in joining Juventus as he doesn't considers it to be a step forward.

Van Persie has confided to his close friends that it would take an extra special offer from one of Europe's elite to lure him away from the Emirates Stadium.

The double Footballer of the year is believed to be happy with life in London along with his family, as he recently moved in to a new house.

Arsenal officials are growing increasingly confident that they can fend off interest from La Liga, and the recent developments have also given a ray of hope to the Gunners fans.

Manchester City are also interested but it is understood the striker would find it hard to join another English club given his bond with Arsenal. (ANI)
