London, May 10(ANI): Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is expected to sell as many as eight players in a mass clear out at the Etihad Stadium to build on their anticipated Premier League title triumph.
Mancini is keen to bring more world-class players to the club, and is keen to do business early during the summer transfer window.
City wants to spend around 100 million pounds during the summer, and is aware they have to start balancing the books so that they can comply with the UEFA's new Financial Fair Play rules, which come into force in the 2013-14 season.
Players like Nigel De Jong, Edin Dzeko, Kolo Toure, Stefan Savic and Adam Johnson are set to make way for new faces. Emmanuel Adebayor, Wayne Bridge and Roque Santa Cruz, all of whom are currently out on loan, will also be jettisoned.
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal's Robin van Persie, Tottenham Hotspurs' Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard of Lille, who collectively would cost 100 million pounds, are City main target signings during the summer.
The other two players on City's radar are Napoli duo Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi, who were influential in knocking Mancini's men out of the Champions League this season. (ANI)
