Washington, May 10 (ANI): An Al-Qaeda bomb-maker escaped an operation launched by at least three Western intelligence agencies, who volunteered to be a suicide bomber by using a device in his underpants.

The undercover agent from Saudi-Arabia, Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri risked his life to go undercover. He is said to have been recruited by Saudi intelligence and managed to escape the intelligence operations by CIA, MI6 and Saudi intelligence.

"We're always on the look-out for fresh threats against the US," The Telegraph quoted a US official, as saying, who are now concerned of the new techniques being harnessed by Al Qaeda to device plots for terrorist attacks.

The agent was given the device from Al-Qaeda, which he was supposed to use in an attack on US-bound aircraft.

He traveled to the United Arab Emirates and then to Saudi Arabia with the device before handing it to the Saudi Arabians. (ANI)
