Kathmandu, May 7 (IANS) The death toll in the floods in the Seti River in western Nepal triggered by an avalanche in the Annapurna range has risen to 19 with police recovering two more bodies Monday, officials said.

Authorities said some 50 people, including three Ukrainians, remain missing and efforts to find them are still continuing, reported Xinhua.

A joint search and rescue team comprising the army, police and armed police force aided by locals is carrying out search operations among the muddy debris in flood-ravaged villages of the district in the hopes of finding the missing.

However, they said chances of finding anyone alive looks very slim.
