Somerset decide not to sue Gayle

London, May 6 (ANI): English county side Somerset said they will not take legal action against former West Indies captain Chris Gayle for breaching his contract, according to reports.
"We have taken legal advice, and we have decided that it is not in the best interests of Somerset to take legal action," The Express Tribune quoted Somerset's Chief Executive Guy Lavender, as saying.
"We hope to see him back playing for the West Indies this summer," he added.
Gayle had signed with Somerset to play this season's Twenty20 competition, but after resolving his long-standing differences with the West Indies team management and the cricket board, he will now be available for the limited-overs section of their tour of England.
Although, Somerset felt they could have taken legal action against the all-rounder, they felt the cost of proceedings, both financially and reputation of cricket, would overshadow any benefits.
Gayle has not been part of the West Indies squad since the 2011 World Cup that was held in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. (ANI)
