Redknapp believes his 'outspoken' nature kept him from becoming England boss

London, May 5(ANI): Tottenham Hotspurs manager Harry Redknapp, who was the people's choice to become the England manager, believes his straightforward and outspoken nature was the major stumbling block on his path to becoming the England boss.

The Football Association chose diplomatic West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson over forthright Redknapp, and he believes he would have never fitted into the mould.

"I'm not really one for being careful about every word I say. If you're going to sit down and keep talking a load of cobblers, what's the point?" The Sun quoted Redknapp, as saying.

"I get aggravation from people now saying, 'You shouldn't have said that'. Well, I'm sorry... don't put me in front of the cameras if you don't want me to say something I want to say. If you ask me a question, I'll tell you what I think. Simple," he added. (ANI)
