Bangalore Police arrest two teenagers for beating senior citizen to death

Bangalore, May 2 (ANI): Bangalore Police on Wednesday confirmed that they had arrested two teenagers for beating a senior citizen to death two days ago.

A television channel quoted Suneel Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, as saying: "There are no external injuries, this man was pushed around by the two boys and he fell down, he was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. They have been arrested."

According to reports, 60-year-old Alageshan died after being assaulted by the two teenagers.

Alageshan was beaten up for protesting against the sexual harassment of his niece.

Police said Alageshan confronted the two boys on Monday night. When he slapped one of them, they in turn hit him on his chest, following which he went unconscious and was declared dead in hospital. (ANI)
