Bomb blast kills one person in Myanmar's northern Shan state

Yangon, April 20 (Xinhua-ANI): A bomb blast killed a person at 105th Mile border trade zone in Muse township, in Myanmar's northern Shan state on Friday morning, according to official sources.

The bomb explosion, which occurred at border trade vehicle check-point in Muse 105th Mile border trade zone at about 5:20 a.m. (local time), killed a local immigration officer, U Kyi Tun, and two light trucks were slightly damaged, the sources said, adding that some electric wires and eight batteries were found at the spot.

The bomb is suspected to be a time bomb, a local witness said.

The cause of the bomb blast is under investigation by the authorities.

Muse (105) mile trade zone, which is the biggest border trading point between Myanmar and China, is about six miles far from Muse township. (Xinhua-ANI)
