Lionel Richie's 'Tuskegee' beats Adele to become billboard No.1

Washington, Apr 19 (ANI): Lionel Richie's album 'Tuskegee' has clinched top spot on the Billboard 200 chart, knocking out Adele's '21' and Nicki Minaj's 'Pink Friday.'

The former Comodore's country collaboration album revisits some of his greatest hits with help from Willie Nelson ("Easy Like Sunday Morning), Kenny Chesney ("My Love") , Rascal Flatts ("Dancing on the Ceiling") and Shania Twain ("Endless Love"), ABC News reported.

This is Richie's third Number 1 album and his first since 1986's 'Dancing on the Ceiling.'

Sales for 'Tuskegee' surged after 'Lionel Richie and Friends in Concert' aired on CBS on April 13th. (ANI)
